If Only

You Would Win Best Original Screenplay

You are insightful and expressive. You’ve always been a natural storyteller.

You know how to hook an audience, entertain them, and surprise them at the end.Where people see everyday life, you see an engaging plot with interesting characters.

You notice details that other people ignore. People you’ve only met once or twice live inside your head.

Critters of the Romance Variety

This is a link to the critique group that I joined recently.  It’s already made a huge improvement in my writing because I see my weaknesses, and my strengths, much easier now.  Add to that, it’s a great group of people and it’s a lot of fun reading all the great stories from so many talented writers.  If you decide to join, say hi to me!

Giving In to “The Man”

kindleI give up.  I can’t fight this feeling anymore.  I want a kindle!

You can pick out a book and buy it, for a lesser price, in minutes.  You can take it anywhere.  Imagine how easily this baby would fit in your purse.  If I had a kindle, I’d never go anywhere without it.  It’d be like my American Express.  I can’t imagine any reader not being in love with this baby.  And, since writers are readers first… it’s today’s Material Girl pick.

A Week Late, But…

Your Valentine’s Day Personality is Practical

0

As far as you’re concerned, Valentine’s Day is simply a commercial holiday.

You don’t place any real meaning on it. You don’t think it deserves too much celebration. For you, Valentine’s Day is just the day you avoid restaurants and candy stores.

If you love someone, you already show it. You don’t need to go all out for a silly holiday to prove your love.

Couldn’t Have Said It Better

I love writing.  I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions.

*Lovely* Free Brainstorming Site

Today’s Material Girl link won’t cost you a dime. Enjoy it, that’s pretty rare. It’s called Lovely Charts (a hug for my friend Kris for thinking of me when she saw it). I tried it out, and it is lovely. It comes ready to build several different types of flow charts, including people. How’s that for connecting your characters? I happen to have drawn one of these before, using tables in Word–it’s not fun. Lovely Charts? Fun.

Ti-freaking-tanic?!

Your Love Life is Like Titanic

“Promise me you’ll survive. That you won’t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless.”

You think that you only really have one true love in your life. And that you better to anything and everything to be with that person.

You tend to be very nostalgic about past loves that didn’t work out. There are many secret feelings that you keep to yourself.

Your love style: Deep and emotional

Your Hollywood Ending Will Be: Bittersweet

Short Hiatus

A week is all I need!  Sorry again.  I’ve got sick children, tournaments, and I’m getting files ready to be critiqued.

Very Damn

Substitute “damn” every time you’re inclined to write “very;” your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.

Time After Time

You Are “Time After Time”

If you were transported back to the 80s, your life would be all about reflecting.

You’re a serious, earnest person – and you couldn’t help but think a lot about how things were back then. You’d spend a lot of your time writing, researching, and learning.

You would either become a social anthropologist – or a crazy guru with a knack for predicting the future.
